How to read this ranking

The losers list sorts the same 24-hour change in reverse. Sharp drops on high volume can mean capitulation; drops on thin volume are often noise. RSI below 30 marks a coin as oversold on the 4-hour chart.

28 RSI ≤ 30 — oversold
74 RSI ≥ 70 — overbought
+85 RCI ≥ +80 — strong uptrend
−90 RCI ≤ −80 — strong downtrend

How the 24h losers ranking works

Relative, not only absolute

The losers ranking sorts the same rolling 24-hour change from the bottom up. A drop only means something relative to the market: if Bitcoin fell 5% in the same window, an altcoin down 6% simply moved with the tide, while one down 20% has its own problem. Compare each loser with the median move of the top coins and with Bitcoin before reading anything into it.

Capitulation versus slow bleed

Sell-offs come in two shapes. Capitulation is a fast, heavy drop on a spike in volume, often with RSI falling under 30 on the 4-hour chart; forced liquidations of leveraged positions tend to look like this. A slow bleed is a steady decline on ordinary volume, with RSI drifting between 30 and 45 and the RCI stuck near −80. The first often exhausts itself quickly; the second can grind lower for weeks.

What an oversold reading does not tell you

Oversold describes speed, not value. A coin can stay oversold through several legs of a downtrend, and a bounce from an oversold reading does not reverse the larger trend. The row detail shows the 30-day change and the all-time-high date, which help separate a sharp dip in a healthy coin from another step down in a long decline. Nothing on this page is a recommendation to buy a falling asset.

Frequently asked questions

Which crypto dropped the most today?

The first row is the coin with the biggest 24-hour price drop among the top cryptocurrencies by market cap.

Why is crypto down today?

Check breadth first. If most of the top coins are down, a market-wide factor such as Bitcoin, macro news or leveraged liquidations is driving it. If only a few coins fell, the cause is usually specific to them, such as an unlock, a hack or an exchange delisting.

What is capitulation in crypto?

Capitulation is a fast, heavy sell-off on a spike in volume, when holders give up and sell at any price and leveraged positions are liquidated. It often shows up on this page as a large 24h drop with RSI under 30.

Are the biggest losers oversold?

Sometimes. An RSI under 30 marks a coin as oversold on the 4-hour chart. Oversold coins can keep falling, but the reading shows selling pressure is stretched.

How often are the crypto rankings updated?

Prices, market caps and volumes refresh from CoinGecko every few minutes while the page is open. RSI, RCI and volatility are recalculated from the latest 7 days of hourly prices on every refresh.

Is this ranking financial advice?

No. The rankings are information and education only. Indicators like RSI and RCI describe recent price behaviour; they do not predict future prices.
